Save something without switching apps
Add Sticky note or Open notes panel from the ready-made pills in the Add pill tab. Neither needs an AI provider.
- Select text and run Sticky note. A sticky note opens beside the cursor with your selection as a quote.
- Type under the quote. The note saves as you type and when it closes.
- Choose All notes to open the panel, switch notes or start a New note. A note’s title is its first line.
- Open Settings, then Notes, to choose “Where the notes panel appears” (Where I left it or By the cursor) and to turn on Pinned. Pinned keeps the panel open when you click elsewhere.
Add files, folders and pictures
Drag or paste files and folders into a note. A file on your PC is added as a shortcut, so the original stays where it is. A pasted picture with no file behind it is saved inside the note.
Click an attachment to open it. Show in folder on a shortcut opens the folder. “Not found” or “Drive not connected” means the original can’t be reached right now.
Removing a shortcut from a note doesn’t delete the original file.

The Note action adds to a note, opens one or closes one. Choose Current, New or an existing note. When adding, choose what to add, then how to Show it: Sticky note, Panel or Don’t show.
Summarize into note asks an AI provider to summarize the text, then adds the summary to your note. It sends the selected text to that provider. Sticky note and Open notes panel stay on your PC.
If Voice input is set up, the note’s microphone button dictates into the note. See Voice input.

Notes stay on your PC. A settings export doesn’t include your notes or their pictures, and the Backup page doesn’t cover them.
A sticky note closes when you click elsewhere. Empty notes are removed when you leave them.
