Add the Bookmarks pill
A Bookmarks pill opens one folder of your browser’s bookmarks as a ring. It works with Chrome, Edge, Brave, Vivaldi, Opera, Opera GX and Firefox. Nothing is sent anywhere.
- In Settings, open Rings, pick the ring you want, and choose the Add pill tab.
- Click the Bookmarks card (“Opens a bookmarks folder as a ring.”). A Bookmarks dialog opens.
- Choose a Browser and a Folder, then click Add. The pill is named after the folder.
- To skip the dialog, drag the Bookmarks card into the ring. It adds your default browser’s Bookmarks bar.
Open a bookmark
While you hold the ring’s key, hover over the pill, wait on it or drag past it to open its ring. Clicking the pill, or its own shortcut, opens the ring at the cursor.
A folder opens as another ring. A bookmark opens in the browser and profile it came from. Rondell reads the bookmarks each time the ring opens, so changes in your browser show up straight away.
Each pill shows the site’s icon from your browser, or the site’s first letter when there is none.

A ring holds up to 10 items. A bigger folder shows 8 per page, with Previous and Next pills: hover, click or drag past one to turn the page.
- Search: the first pill on page 1 of a folder with more than one page. Choose it and type.
- Search finds bookmarks by title or site name in the folder and its subfolders.
- Press Enter to open the first match, click a match to open it, or press Escape to cancel.
Choose the browser and folder
Open the pill in the editor and select its Show bookmarks action. To add the action to another pill, choose Add an action, then Show bookmarks in the Open group.
- Browser: Default browser, each browser or profile Rondell finds, or The one in front.
- Folder: Bookmarks bar, Other bookmarks, Mobile bookmarks or Bookmarks menu, and the folders inside them. The folders offered depend on the browser.
Make an editable copy
A Show bookmarks pill follows your browser. To change names, order or links yourself, choose Make an editable copy in the action’s settings.
The pill becomes a ring of Open a website pills. If the folder is too big, a message says how many bookmarks didn’t fit. Choose Open its ring to see it. To go back, use the round Undo button or press Ctrl + Z.

Rondell shows one of these messages instead of the ring.
- Show bookmarks: no browser found. Install a supported browser, or pick another one under Browser.
- Show bookmarks: that folder is gone. The folder was deleted or renamed in the browser. Pick another under Folder.
- Show bookmarks: no bookmarks here. The folder is empty. Pick another folder.
- Show bookmarks: they couldn’t be read. Try again, or pick another browser under Browser.
